In this episode, Saybrook faculty member Dr. Cynthia Palmisano discusses the definition of neurodiversity and her work with neurodivergent clients, including assessing individuals on the autism spectrum. Dr. Palmisano also discusses her approach to research and teaching in clinical psychology, working with incarcerated populations, transgender individuals, and more!
As a trained forensic and clinical psychologist, Dr. Palmisano has worked extensively with at-risk and underserved populations. Her expertise includes motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and cognitive processing therapy.
