Description: In this Mindful Awareness Practice, Dr Donna Rockwell introduces a way to discern the thinking mind from the feeling heart/mind. In Eastern approaches to mindfulness, the heart/mind is used to describe the heartfelt nature of mind. In this session we practice mindful awareness—the cultivation of calmness, firstly, followed by deeper meaning-based insight into life, its challenges and joys.

As a service to our larger community, Saybrook University is offering a daily mindful moment through July, beginning at 12:13 PM Eastern/9:13 AM Pacific. Designed to be 15 minutes in length, our Mind-Body Medicine faculty have banded together to provide these sessions as a source of centering and solace in these extraordinary times.
